Art of the title - analysis of title sequences

The Walking Dead Season 3 title sequence

Firstly, we see the production company title, AMC. We then see the main cast list, then the name of the executive producers, the developer, whose graphic novel series it is based on before finally seeing the main title of the show, The Walking Dead. The font is nearly identical to the font type Impact, which is very bold, usually in the middle and bottom of the frame. Behind the font, we see a series of images with the main musical theme. When the cast list comes up, a series of images behind the font correspond's to the character they play, for example behind Steven Yeun's name, a pocket watch is shown, which is important to that character. As for the rest, images of settings, backgrounds and 'walkers' are shown behind the font. I like this title sequence because it's quite haunting with the music behind these images and it gives good insight to what the show is about (if the title isn't already clear enough). The title sequence was made by Michael Lane Parks in 2012.

The Last of Us

Initially, we see the title of the game, The Last of Us, before seeing the names of the series of directors, then the names of the artist, lead programmer and animation artist. We then see the name for the lead designer, lead visual effects, lead editor, lead audio, character artist, lead lighting, multi-player designer, cinematic animators, lead artist and then who the music is by. We then see the cast list, and the co-presidents. The font type seems to be, again, Impact, which is usually in the middle of the frame. Behind the font, we see what appears to be a visualisation of a fungal virus growing and spreading, which parallels the story narrative of the game.  We can hear radio and television broadcasts surrounding the story of the infection spreading in North America. We can hear the main theme, composed by Gustavo Santaolalla behind the sequence. I picked this title sequence because it is engaging, gives insight to the narrative, and because the game is very popular in the video game industry, so the title sequence would clearly work. Henry Hobson was the title design director  behind this title sequence.
